Pirate Twist

Pirate Twist is a top-down 2D naval roguelite where your ship is a mobile base. Outfit it from 17 modules across a 5×8 grid: cannons, mortars, hull plates, storage holds, and repair stations. Every loadout creates a different playstyle. Sail a branching three-sea campaign where you pick your path through every expedition. Fight pirate fleets, brave storms and mystery waters, hold a besieged port through five waves, and duel a named boss captain at each sea's finale. Combat is pure positioning, with no cursor and no twitch-aim. Pick your live broadside, swing it onto the enemy, and time the volley. Directional component damage (hull, sails, crew, fire), four ammo types, and stern-rake bonuses reward reading the fight. Defeat costs resources, not the run. You rebuild at Port and sail back out. Captain XP and skills persist across runs, five captain archetypes wait to be unlocked, and a per-captain New Game+ ladder ramps the threat after every win.
